REDIRECTIONS Rooted 4 Life Workshops will help our youth understand certain truths about African American history that has been concealed by America dating back to ancient Africa. The workshops are designed to offer a holistic experience for youth, which will leave youth feeling confident, powerful and knowledgeable while gaining a true sense of self.
We offer our N.B.A or Never Be Afraid program: This program will advocate for those subjugated and abused in different forms such as control, bullying, and mental and physical abuse while offering resources to receive help. Youth will become knowledgeable on how to identify abuse and know when to get out and get help. "REDIRECTIONS" identifies abuse as, but is not limited to Verbal, Physical, Sexual and Mental.
The Mother like Daughter workshop is solely to bring women together to work out any differences through our personal experiences. We will engage women of all ages, teaching image and impression management, asking powerful questions to pull out the inner person, and communicating our thoughts and desires for change.
We will foster low-income families, and parents of youth participants with our enrichment programs. This will help nurture the unit by advocating for assistance and pointing them in the right direction to help find the resources to become more self-sufficient.
